Day 1
In the morning we gather on campus around 07.00 and are ready for all needs, absences are carried out and so is the distribution of ID cards. After everything was finished, we took a banner photo in front of the orange building which was our meeting point
After that we took the bus and went to Toraja ... During our trip we turned into guides by explaining the material that had been distributed before, that day I got material about the maros district and finally I chose to discuss history and "bissu"
The time has come and arrived here some time ago when I went to be a guide, now for the umpteenth time before or now, it still makes me nervous, but after I'm done, I'm very relieved and finally can sit quietly.. It takes about 7-8 hours to travel. in the first 4 hours of the trip, we stopped by the Local Restaurant in Sidrap for lunch with a menu of one of Sulawesi's special foods namely palekko.
Then we went to Enrekang to enjoy Coffee Break while enjoying the view of "gunung nona", one of the tourist attractions in Enrekang. After 30 minutes for Coffee Break, we continued our trip to Toraja. We arrived in Toraja after an 8 hour trip, but before we went to the Hotel, we had dinner at a local restaurant in Toraja. After that, we ended up at the Hotel overnight and continued the Trip tomorrow morning. during the trip that became our obstacle when it was fuel for buses that were hard to find
Day 2
after breakfast we began our journey to the Maiting River and enjoyed The Rafting there. After an hour's drive, we went to Pongtiku Airport and changed transportation to the pickup truck in the form of a truck, because the bus could not pass the road to the Maiting River location. Arriving at Dende Piongan sub-district, we met with the Rafting Instructor and then we prepared to track for about 20 minutes, we were taken to get to the Maiting river location. After that, we arrived and the instructor gave a little instruction and safety instructions while enjoying Rafting.
It was an amazing experience during Rafting because I have never felt it before, while I felt that it was an unforgettable moment in my life to see how beautiful the Toraja adventure on the Maiting River with Rafting was not just white water rafting that I enjoyed but I am also an iguana lover who was amazed because I could see lots of iguanas sunbathing on the riverbank. And not only that, for the first time in Toraja, Rainny started there and I was very impressed with it.
After 2 hours of rafting, we stopped across the river for lunch with food that tastes very good plus a very beautiful atmosphere. After 3 Hours of Rafting, we finally did the Rafting activities and prepared to visit Buntu Burake, but the casket did not support and was replaced tomorrow to visit Buntu Burake and return directly to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast, we began to visit Lo'ko Mata, while we tracked down to proceed to Batu Tumonga. It takes an hour to get to Lo'ko Mata from the hotel. During the trip, I was very impressed with the activities of the Toraja people on the road and the scenery. Not only that, we can also see views of the city of Rantepao from a height in Batu Tumonga. Very calm and natural.
Arriving at Lo'Ko Mata, you will see many tombs of the Toraja family buried in the rocks. After that, about an hour tracking to go to the Local Restaurant in Batu Tumonga.
During tracking, I was very happy that I was there beautiful and amazing natural scenery during the trip. Don't forget, I also met friendly locals who welcomed us at Batu Tumonga. Arrived at a local restaurant, about an hour for lunch. And we continue the journey to visit Bori 'Kalimbuang. In Bori 'Kalimbuang, there are many Menhir Stone or "Stonehenge". To get to this place, you have to travel a distance of about 9 km using a motorcycle or car from Rantepao. Arriving at Bori 'Kalimbuang, we will enjoy the Menhir stone which stands tall in the middle of the cemetery there. Not just anyone can set up Menhir, must pass through several stages of traditional funeral rites. After visiting Bori 'Kalimbuang, we visited a traditional market located in Rantepao. After that, immediately Hotel.
but because my friend there who was sick, so the night I visited the hospital and accompanied my friend who was sick
Day 4
The next day, I, who at night did not have time to sleep because accompanied my friend who was sick at the hospital, was picked up by a driver and taken to the hotel. burake and take a photo there.
on the way we stopped at a bunker that was pulled up and continued on to the Coffe Break in one of the cafes in Enrekang. after coffe break we continue our trip and lunch at pare pare on the terrace of the pond around 03.00 pm, after lunch we continue the journey and dinner at "RM SUKA SUKA" then continue back to campus and arrive around 10:00 pm
